J. Floyd Hatch is the Owner and President of Intermountain Realty Group, licensed in 1989. He earned Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Geology at the University of Utah and a Master of Science degree in Geology at Brigham Young University in 1980. He worked as an oil and gas exploration geologist for several years prior to entering the real estate market.
Floyd grew up in Salt Lake City and developed an affinity for hunting and fishing at an early age. He has fished and hunted in many parts of the world including Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Kyrgyzstan, Africa, Europe, South America, and New Zealand.
He and his family developed a 5,000-acre ranch in Morgan County, Utah, where they built an 8-bedroom hunting lodge to gather, hunt, and recreate while enhancing the quality and quantity of its game. Floyd and his wife Carol (Anderson) married in 1976. They have 5 children and 16 grandchildren.
Many of Floyd’s friends began as clients. He loves to check in with them long after deals have closed and helps them with skills he has developed in the ranching business. He loves to serve on the community, state, and national level with several organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and Rotary International.
